EXTENDED PEST SERVICES

Bees, wasps, and mosquitoes are dangerous because of their painful and harmful stings.

Fleas and ticks can carry potential disease and blood thirsty bedbugs leave an irritating bite.

Carpenter ants tunnel through wood destroying structures.

Pharaoh  ants and may transmit serious diseases.

Roaches spread human diseased organisms on food and utensils.

The American Cockroach, which comes into contact with human excrement in sewers or with pet droppings, may transmit bacteria that cause Salmonella and Shigella.

German cockroaches are believed to be capable of transmitting disease causing organisms such as Staphylococcus, hepatitis, and coliform bacteria. They have also been implicated in the spread of typhoid and dysentery.

Spiders Except for poisonous spiders such as the black widow and the brown recluse spiders are not harmful to humans.

Exclusion & Trapping Services

SQUIRRELS • OPOSSUMS • RACCOONS

Wild animals seek shelter, warmth, and food — especially during colder months or breeding seasons. Homes provide easy access to these necessities. Without proper exclusion, animals may repeatedly return or new animals may move in.

Beyond property damage, wildlife infestations can pose serious health risks due to bacteria, parasites, and airborne contaminants found in droppings and nesting materials.  Our professional exclusion and humane trapping services are designed to safely remove nuisance animals like squirrels, opossums, and raccoons, ensuring they don't return to disrupt your peace of mind.
We implement strategic trapping when required and perform complete exclusion by reinforcing vulnerable areas with heavy-gauge materials. We also inspect for secondary entry points to ensure long-term protection. We humanely trap and remove squirrels by sealing all entry points with durable materials such as steel mesh and reinforced vent covers. This prevents future infestations while allowing the home to remain properly ventilated. We use humane trapping methods to safely remove opossums and raccoons, and relocate them in accordance with local regulations. We then secure crawl space openings, deck skirting, and foundation gaps to prevent re-entry.

RODENTS

Rodents consume and contaminate food. They also gnaw on electrical wires, wooden structures, and tear insulation in walls and ceilings for nesting. Rodents can also transmit disease to humans, pets, and livestock. They have been found to transmit typhys, leptospirosisi, trichinosis, and salmonellosis.

Termite Services

DRYWOOD TERMITE LOCALIZED SPOT WOOD TREATMENT

Drywood termites are not always a widespread structural problem. Steven's Customized Pest Solutions provide Drywood Spot Treatments which consist of small holes drilled every few inches directly into the termite galleries in the infested wood. Then, an environmentally safe insecticide is applied directly into the termite galleries  After an insecticide has been injected into wood, the openings are sealed up.

SUBTERRANEAN LIQUID TREATMENT

Subterranean Termites

Steven's Customized Pest Solutions uses a conventional liquid termite treatment method as needed during the initial treatment . Conventional methods include drilling through concrete and treating, trench and treat soil areas of foundation walls, foaming of plumbing areas on the interior of the structure, spot application to active infestations which may include drilling into wood members. All drilled holes are patched.

WDO
Wood Destroying Organism Reports

WHY YOU NEED A WDO INSPECTION

It’s hard to overstate how important a Wood-Destroying Organism (WDO) inspection can be, both for homeowners and business owners. When we think of WDOs, we think mainly of termites, which are some of the most destructive pests around. A WDO inspection can look not only for signs of termites (both drywood and subterranean) but also for signs of wood-boring beetles, carpenter ants, carpenter bees, and wood-destroying fungi.

WHAT THE INSPECTOR LOOKS FOR

The WDO inspection can only note damage that’s visible and accessible, so it won’t catch termites behind the walls, for example. Still, there’s a lot an inspector can look for.

Termites leave behind wings and distinctively shaped droppings, and subterranean termites are known for the mud tubes they create, which lead to their colony underground. Piles of sawdust and wood shavings could indicate carpenter ants. Round holes in unpainted or unvarnished wood are usually the work of carpenter bees. Powderpost beetles give themselves away through a powdery excrement called frass. Fungi, if not immediately seen, can still be inferred through weak wood structures.

THE BENEFITS OF A WDO INSPECTION

We don’t often look at the eaves or fascia on the exteriors of our homes, much less the wood framing in our attics or basements, which means that most of the wood structures that are vulnerable to WDOs are out of sight, out of mind. An inspection could show you damage that you never would have dreamed of. If it’s caught in time, you could save hundreds of dollars that would otherwise have gone to structural repairs or termiticide treatments. The inspection could also bring to light any issues, such as leaky pipes, that may have helped to invite those WDOs.

By having this inspection done, you can also have an edge when putting your home or commercial property on the real estate market. The inspection can also give you peace of mind if you’re the potential buyer. Most lending institutions will require that you get a WDO inspection done before taking out a loan. If you want to purchase a home with a VA or FHA loan, the inspection will be required.
